Marc du Pontavice, CEO

A Sciences Po graduate, Marc du Pontavice began his career at French film studio Gaumont, where he managed financial arrangements and produced around a hundred hours of fictional content, including the US-released Highlander series. In 1995, Marc contributed to the creation of a new department, Gaumont Multimedia, which was to be focused on cartoons, videogames and the internet. This group chose as its base a studio previously belonging to Luc Besson, which now serves as Xilam's headquarters. In 1999, Marc set up Xilam, his own production company specialised in animated films, before acquiring Gaumont Multimedia's assets the following year.
